Captain’s Ocala Bass Guide Service
Name: Gino Losi
Captains are U.S. Coast Guard licensed and insured.
Captain Gino Losi is a second-generation guide and tournament angler from Central Florida with over 30 years of experience on local waters. Captain Gino fell in love with fishing at a very young age. Growing up he spent most of his evenings and summers on the water or in the tackle shop with his father (Captain Lou). It wasn’t hard for his fathers to love for the outdoors to rub off. By the age of 16, Captain Gino started to compete in local tournaments and continues to compete both locally and nationally to this day. Captain Gino is full of energy, knowledge and is eager to share it with anyone willing to listen.
Captain Gino will be your local expert on the Harris Chain of Lakes, St Johns River, Johns Lake, Butler Chain of Lakes, and Lake Toho in Kissimmee, FL.
He looks forward to getting out on the water with you on your next vacation to Central Florida!

Have been tournament fisherman for the past 20 years and look forward to sharing my knowledge with customers.
I will not fish all day, this is your day and I will be there to help and advise you. I have experienced the thrill of catching lots of Bass over the years in several different states. It was the beauty of Central Florida, and the weather that brought me here from Indiana several years ago. I had made many trips to Florida and found it to be some of the finest fishing around.
Each specialize in Bass fishing with artificial lures or wild shiners.
Our goal is to help you catch as many trophy fish as possible with artificial lures or shiners.
We will primarily be fishing the Harris Chain, Rodman Reservoir, St. John’s River, Lake Monroe to the South and Lake George to the North. I also fish the Kissimmee Chain, I do multi-day trips to the Stick Marsh/Farm 13.
Do to the conservation of the sport of Bass fishing and with the hopes of catching lots of Trophy Bass in the future, we favor C.P.R. (Catch – photograph – release) but are also open to you keeping fish as long as its with the the state laws on that body of water.
When you catch a Trophy Bass that you would like to have a mount of, we will take lots of pictures and weigh the fish and also measure the length and girth.
We have a Taxidermy service that will make you a life like reproduction that only you will know is not the fish that you let back in the water to grow and become an even larger Trophy that you or someone you know might be fortunate enough to catch again on another fishing trip. The reproductions are also easier to care for, and cost is about the same as a skin mount.
